FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., May 17, 2017 – Spring is great time to buy a new crossover or SUV, especially if you are a part of the U.S. Military. In honor of Memorial Day and to support its presenting sponsorship of the National Salute to America’s Heroes, Hyundai is doubling the military incentive on its crossovers and SUVs for United States service men and women.

National Salute to America’s Heroes

Any active or retired military personnel and their spouse can receive $1,000 toward the purchase of a new Hyundai Tucson,Santa Fe Sport or Santa Fe between May 19 – 31, 2017. The incentives are offered in advance of Memorial Day allowing military personnel two weekends to take advantage of the discount. Hyundai’s existing military incentive program of $500 off will continue to apply to other Hyundai models.

“Hyundai has long been dedicated to helping servicemen and women get into a new vehicle and 13 percent of Hyundai purchases come from military personnel thanks to our consistently strong program,” said Derrick Hatami, vice president of national sales, Hyundai Motor America. “During Memorial Day weekend this year, we are doubling the discount on our CUVs and SUVs for military personnel and that’s in addition to our Better Than Ever Sales event.”

Those who served in the following United States branches (and current spouses) are eligible for the Memorial Day Military incentive:

  • Air Force
  • Army / National Guard
  • Coast Guard
  • Marine Corps
  • Navy
  • Reserves for any branch listed above
